Cascade Clamp - Established in Portland, Oregon in 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company began as a small machine store employing only four individuals. Total sales for that initial year amounted to about sixty thousand dollars. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the machining and assembly of stainless steel valves, pipe fittings and different components. Through 5 years of operation, the company had stretched to forty workers and their yearly sales volume had risen to 330 thousand dollars. Now, Cascade is amongst the top international producers in the material handling industry.

Design and production of the company's initial hydraulic cylinder allowed this young company to aggressively engage in new business opportunities. All through the last 60 years, the business of material handling has developed into a really complex field with Cascade proudly playing a part in its development. In the 1950's, Cascade started designing, making and promoting hydraulic attachments. The business altered its name to Cascade Corporation in the year 1964. In 1965, Cascade went public with a preliminary offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. The business has expanded its manufacturing facilities within the U.S. with areas in Portland, Oregon, Springfield, Ontario, and Warner Robins, Georgia. Cascade products are fabricated worldwide because of numerous subsidiary operations. In the year 1944, a new facility was completed in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European control center. This facility is built to be the ultimate customer support centre.

Continuing to grow, Cascade expanded their product offering further in 1996 and 1997 with the impressive acquisition of 5 corporations, along with the global leader in forks, the Kenhar Corporation.
